This started off as a free form flow verse... very "stream of consciousness," but it soon became a proclamation to the "morning-star" spoken of in Isaiah the 14th chapter. This "morning star" or "day-star" is where we get the name "Lucifer" from. We struggle with him his world society and our own humanity, but at the end, if you are a child of the most high YHWH, the "light-bearer" is ultimately under our feet.
